What is Digital Energy Technology?
Digital Energy Technology is a suite of integrated data center infrastructure hardware and software designed, engineered and manufactured by IO to deliver an efficient, optimized and highly utilized "always-on" energy system for mission-critical information technology.
What is conditioned power?
Conditioned power means that the electrical service provided to the data center area (1) is provisioned through one or more uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system(s) or a DC battery plant and (2) is further supported by one or more standby diesel generator(s).
What is paired distribution?
Paired distribution means A and B distribution path(s), where each path has capacity equal to at least the kW amount.
What is an active power distribution?
Active power distribution means conditioned power is delivered by (a) at least one (1) UPS system with capacity equal to at least the kW amount; and (b) without paired distribution.
What is an active-passive power distribution?
Active-Passive power distribution means conditioned power is delivered by (a) at least one (1) UPS system with capacity equal to at least the kW amount; and (b) paired distribution.
What is an active-active power distribution?
Active-Active power distribution means conditioned power is delivered by (a) at least two (2) UPS systems, each with capacity equal to at least the kW amount; and (b) paired distribution.
Where is IO located?
IO has designed, engineered and operates, three data centers - IO Phoenix, IO Scottsdale, IO New Jersey and IO Ohio. In addition, FORTRUST became the first Powered by IO partner, offering DCaaS to customers in the Denver, Colorado market. IO also provides a modular data center platform called IO Anywhere® which allows for the deployment of data center capacity anywhere in the world. For more information on IO products and services available, please contact a sales representative today.
Is IO Tier Certified?
Currently, IO Phoenix Phase 1 and IO New Jersey Phase 1 are Uptime Institute Tier III Certified for Design Documents.
How much does IO charge for cross-connects?
Zero. IO does not charge customers for interconnection. There are no one-time, setup, monthly or recurring charges for cross-connects at IO.
What is a cross-connect?
A cross-connect is a physical connection, with either copper or fiber, between two routers. A cross-connect is typically between a carrier router and a customer router. IO does not charge for cross-connects.
What is a Meet-Me-Room?A Meet-Me-Room is a private data center suite where telecommunications carriers place their equipment. The Meet-Me-Room is also known as a network access point. IO is a
carrier-neutral data center and has access to over a dozen telecommunications carriers in its Meet-Me-Rooms.
How much does IO charge for Remote Hands?IO offers complimentary Remote Hands to its customers.
What is included in IO's Remote Hands?IO's professionally trained staff will toggle a switch or push a button, observe and report on status lights, insert or swap out CD/DVD or tape media and replace or reseat certain hardware components. For additional questions on IO's Remote Hands service, please
contact IO.
Is IO SSAE 16 certified?Yes. IO has received SSAE 16 Type II certification from Deloitte & Touche.
Can I get IO's SSAE 16 report?IO customers may request access to IO's SSAE 16 report by contacting their customer account manager.
Is IO HIPAA compliant/certified?IO designs, engineers and operates highly reliable data centers and provides multiple layers of access control including 24x7xForever guard staff, biometric screening, digital video surveillance and customer-defined access control lists. Many of IO's customers have received HIPAA compliance for their data center environment at IO.
Is IO PCI compliant/certified?IO designs, engineers and operates highly reliable data centers and provides multiple layers of access control including 24x7xForever guard staff, biometric screening, digital video surveillance and customer-defined access control lists. Many of IO's customers have received PCI compliance for their data center environment at IO.
What is blended bandwidth?Blended bandwidth is multiple upstream network providers acting in conjunction. Blended bandwidth consists of at least two primary providers, as opposed to one primary and one secondary provider. IO's high-resiliency
blended bandwidth consists of multiple providers - AT&T, AboveNet, Level3, CenturLink and TeliaSonera are some of the providers utilized.
Is IO on multiple power grids?IO designs, engineers and operates its data centers for high-availability. IO's power distribution network consists of a dedicated onsite substation at its
IO PHOENIX and
IO NEW JERSEY data centers, redundant, diverse feeds from the utility in its
IO SCOTTSDALE data center, backup power generation capacity from multiple, industrial-grade Caterpillar generators, and power distribution and conditioning from multiple, diverse manufacturers. IO offers a 100% uptime SLA on its service infrastructure, including the power systems.
How do I update my access list?Changes to the customer access list can be made by account administrators via the
customer portal.
