Data Center
IO PHOENIX is considered one of the world's largest data centers and has been awarded Tier III Design Certification for Phase 1. This certification demonstrates IO's engineering capabilities and proves that NOT ALL DATA CENTERS ARE CREATED EQUAL®.
Power
Most data centers in Phoenix, or for that matter the country, do not have the power capacity that IO PHOENIX does. With its own dedicated, on-site sub-station, IO PHOENIX has access to 56 MW of utility power. From the utility, IO distributes and conditions power using generator-paralelling switch gear, manufacturer-diverse uninterruptible power systems and power distribution units. Backup power is generated by a pool of multi-megawatt Caterpillar generators.
Network
IO PHOENIX is a carrier-neutral data center with more than a dozen telecommunications carriers including AboveNet, AT&T, Level3, Qwest and TeliaSonera, and free cross-connects.
Cooling
IO PHOENIX is an energy-efficient data center that uses the latest technologies and systems to enhance reliability. Variable frequency drives, ultrasonic humidification, LED lighting and sealed server racks allow IO to efficiently remove heat from the data center and reduce energy consumption.
Access Control
Multiple layers of access control, including a defensible perimeter, digital video surveillance, biometric screening and 24x7xForever guard staff provide physical protection from unauthorized entry into the IO PHOENIX data center.
