The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) sets national standards for the security of electronic protected health information. IO designs and engineers its data centers with multiple layers of access control including 24x7xForever guard staff, biometric screening, digital video surveillance and customer-defined access control lists. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is a worldwide information security standard assembled by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
