Power
Our data centers utilize a power delivery network™ that is truly redundant. From the generator to the processor, every system within the power delivery network is engineered for full resiliency. Utility power comes into the data center from redundant, dedicated feeders. From there, power is conditioned with a diverse array of uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and power distribution units (PDU) before reaching your cabinet, cage or suite. Cooling
We use a high-efficiency chilled water system to remove heat from the data center. Our computer room air handlers (CRAHs) come equipped with variable speed plug fans to maintain a static pressure under the raised floor plenum and require much less energy to operate than standard squirrel cage fans. A thermal energy storage system allows us to make ice at night when power is less expensive and use that ice during the day as a redundant source of cooling. Energy Efficiency
We have implemented a number of highly efficient mechanical and electrical systems throughout the data center that allow us to reduce our energy consumption and enhance the overall reliability of our data center services. From motion activated light emitting diodes (LED) to ultrasonic humidification to variable frequency drives, our goal is to maximize energy efficiency and minimize our carbon footprint. Environmental controls
We utilize high sensitivity smoke detection (HSSD) and interlocked, multi-zone pre-action dry pipe fire suppression systems as well as rope-style leak detection and a UL-approved perimeter lighting protection system to maintain an optimal environment inside the data center.

With more than a dozen telecommunications carriers including AT&T, Verizon, AboveNet and Level 3, our data centers provide unparalleled network access. And with free cross connects, you won't be burdened with hidden fees or recurring charges. As a carrier-neutral data center, we allow you to connect with the provider that's right for you. In addition, we provide high-capacity, multi-protocol data transport and blended internet bandwidth to give you the flexibility and reliability you need to grow your business. Access control
At i/o Data Centers, we employ a multi-layered approach to access control. Starting at the perimeter of our building, we have installed bollards to control the flow of traffic onto the premises. A guard controlled gated entry restricts unauthorized visits and onsite security staff monitor the data center and campus 24*7*forever. Closed circuit TV surveillance is installed at multiple locations in and around the data center and all activity is recorded digitally. As a customer, you define who may and may not access your data center space. All visitors must provide government issued identification prior to entering the data center floor. Upon entry, their access is limited to only the areas they have been authorized for. Biometric screening, bank-vault style mantraps and locking cabinets, cages and suites all provide additional layers of access control. Learn more about how we control access to the data center

SAS 70 Certification
The Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) is one of the most stringent auditing standards for service companies. SAS 70 was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for service providers who wish to prove a high level of control effectiveness to independent auditors, and has become one of the most widely recognized auditing standards for service companies.
