Blended Bandwidth
IO uses BGP4 to connect the fiber optic backbones from AboveNet, Level3, Qwest, and TeliaSonera. This advanced Internet routing protocol ensures the shortest, most efficient path for network traffic. IO engineered its blended bandwidth network for reliability. If AboveNet, Level3, Qwest, or TeliaSonera experiences a service outage, IO can route traffic accordingly so that there is no disruption in connectivity. The diverse physical layer topologies of each of the carriers provide redundancy and enhances the overall reliability of IO's network. And because IO works with the largest networks in the United States, the economies of scale provide for more cost-effective connectivity.
