PHOENIX, AZ, June 25, 2009 - IO Data Centers, the premier provider of colocation and data center solutions, unveiled a high-density colocation cabinet that is capable of delivering up to 2,500 watts per square foot of conditioned, uninterruptible power.
The ThermoCabinet® is a proprietary colocation cabinet designed by IO Data Centers' engineers to provide greater server density and power capacity. The sealed cabinet optimizes thermal efficiency by separating cold air intake from hot air exhaust. By reducing the volume of air that needs to be cooled, the ThermoCabinet utilizes energy more efficiently and allows for greater server density within a smaller footprint.
"The ThermoCabinet was designed to address the needs of our customers," said George Slessman, IO Data Centers' Chief Executive Officer. "The data center plays an important role in providing always on operations for our clients' mission critical IT systems. In addition, the rising costs for energy required we develop a solution that would allow our customers to reduce their carbon footprint while providing high-performance and reliability."
IO Data Centers offers the ThermoCabinet at its Scottsdale ONE and Phoenix ONE facilities. The company's newest Phoenix collocation facility, Phoenix ONE, boasts more than 530,000 square feet of enterprise-grade data center space in Arizona.
