David Shaw
David Shaw serves as Chief Operating Officer of IO. In this capacity, he is responsible for global Data Center as a Service (DCaaS™) Operations, Customer Account Management and Support Services. Mr. Shaw brings over 30 years of experience to IO, including global data center operations, engineering management, and information technology services.
Prior to joining IO, he led the Greenfield build and operational implementation of a 42,000-square-foot data center to support electronic medical records and critical patient care systems for 5,000 hospital beds and services across the U.S. Mr. Shaw has extensive data center operations and management-related experience in the Healthcare, Finance, Defense, Government and IT manufacturing industries with region-specific expertise in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland and the Middle East. Mr. Shaw received in-depth specialist Data Center and Operations training from IBM and the UK Ministry of Defense, and is certified in ITIL Service Management. While serving in the Royal Air Force, he graduated in Electronic Engineering and also studied Computer-Aided Engineering, specializing in Robotics at the University of Bristol.
