UI/.NET Software Engineer

Description:
The experienced .Net Systems Engineer will perform software engineer functions for IO’s Application Delivery team specializing in UI Development while using .NET/C#. We will rely on you to be responsible for facets of development, delivery, and maintenance, as well as support ongoing functions and perform the following responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:
  • Work on multiple software development projects using the .NET framework as directed by Sr. Software Engineer. Projects include HTML5, Silverlight, and MVC web site development.
  • Work with Business Analysts and Project Sponsors to understand requirements and create functional and technical documentation.
  • Assist in the development of new graphical elements and designs for web sites and applications. Interface with Graphic Design firms as needed.
  • Develop and maintain complex systems or subsystems using object oriented techniques and design patterns to ensure maintainability. Support production systems as needed.
  • Re-factor existing code to meet evolving needs of business.
  • Create and manage versioning for all authored applications.
  • Stay current with relevant technology in order to maintain and/or improve functionality for authored applications.
  • Availability to travel as necessary.
  • Perform additional job-related duties asrequested.
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university or equivalent years of work experience in the field.
  • Full SDLC experience developing large or complex systems.
  • 5+ years total development experience, including object oriented coding techniques.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Microsoft 2.0-4.0 C# .NET/ASP.NET development.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Blend, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL and software interaction with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, and/or Oracle.
  • Software testing (Unit, System, Integration, Functional, Performance) experience.
  • Knowledge of layered systems architectures, solutions and designs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours under minimal supervision.
